Morpheus Macau, building in Macau, China
Morpheus Macau is a luxury hotel on the Cotai Strip distinguished by unique architecture with a free-form exoskeleton structure of glass and steel. The building features elegant rooms with smart controls, a spa with Finnish sauna, multiple restaurants, a casino with over 475 gaming tables, and specially curated art galleries for guests.
The hotel was designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid and is one of her final creations, embodying her vision of flowing, organic architecture. It is part of the City of Dreams complex and marks a shift in Macau's modern hotel design with its innovative approach.
The name comes from Greek mythology, referring to the god of dreams, reflecting the hotel's innovative philosophy. Visitors experience the building as a work of art, and the thoughtful interior design with artworks by various artists creates a space where modern design and culture intertwine.
The hotel complex offers free transfers and shuttle service to nearby locations, making arrival and mobility convenient. The fitness center is well equipped with a cycling studio, free weights, and other exercise facilities, and it is recommended to book tables at the on-site Alain Ducasse restaurant in advance.
The hotel's glass facade covers about 48,000 square meters and uses 28,000 tonnes of steel, but requires regular cleaning to maintain its gleaming clarity. The elevators resemble glass beetles and connect multiple levels, while special duplex villas on upper floors feature private spas and exclusive views.
