Klánovický les

Klánovický les is a nature reserve with a mix of coniferous and deciduous forests that spreads across several municipalities. The protected area includes sections of Klánovice, Újezd nad Lesy, Horní Počernice, and Úvaly with marked paths connecting the different parts.

The reserve received official protected status in 1982 with additional sections added through the 1980s. These designations were part of broader efforts to safeguard forest areas near Prague.

The forest serves as a place where schools and environmental groups share knowledge about local plants and wildlife with visitors. People use the paths for walking and to experience nature close to Prague.

The area is accessible by public transportation from Prague with information boards at the main entrances. The trails are clearly marked and connect different sections of the forest.

The forest is an important location for bird research with many bird species documented by observers. The abundance of birdlife makes it a preferred study site for ornithologists in the region.
