MediaPark, Business park in Neustadt-Nord, Germany
MediaPark is a business complex in Neustadt-Nord composed of office buildings arranged in a radial pattern around a central square. The site features parks and a lake distributed among the structures, creating an open character.
The project was developed by Canadian architect Eberhard Zeidler on the site of a former goods station. Construction took place between 1990 and 2004, transforming an industrial site into a modern business quarter.
The site hosts educational institutions and creative offices that shape the area as a hub for media production and language culture. Visitors can sense the presence of filmmakers and language enthusiasts working and studying here.
The site offers 2,500 parking spaces in underground facilities and connects to public transport through the Christophstraße/Mediapark Stadtbahn station. Visitors should expect good outdoor walkways and use the central square as a natural landmark for orientation.
The centerpiece is the KölnTurm, a striking high-rise designed by French architect Jean Nouvel that stands out distinctly from the rest of the site through its characteristic form. The building is one of the most recognizable landmarks of the entire complex and serves many as a visual anchor point when exploring the area.
