Penzberg

Penzberg is a town in Weilheim-Schongau in Upper Bavaria, situated at around 608 meters elevation. The center has retail spaces, residential areas, and several industrial zones used by pharmaceutical companies.

The settlement began in the late 13th century as Poennesperch and grew as a coal mining hub. The granting of town rights in 1919 marked its shift toward a modern industrial center.
