Offenbach-Bieber station, Railway station and cultural heritage monument in Offenbach am Main, Germany.
Offenbach-Bieber is a railway station on the Rodgau Railway in the Bieber district with two platforms and tracks serving connections toward Frankfurt and Ober-Roden. The building operates as a protected monument today and functions as an important transport hub.
The station was built in 1896 as part of the Rodgau Railway connecting the Frankfurt region to smaller towns. From 2003 onward it underwent modernization with its connection to the S-Bahn network.
The station building dates to 1896 and displays late 19th-century architectural features with brick facades and tall windows. It serves daily as a gathering point for travelers and anchors the local character of the Bieber neighborhood.
The S1 and S2 trains depart regularly with direct connections to Frankfurt Central Station and other districts. The station building provides waiting areas, and the platforms are easily accessible from street level.
The building is protected as a monument yet began deteriorating after privatization, making it a puzzling example of a heritage site in flux. Despite neglect, it remains a working transport hub serving hundreds of daily commuters.
