Erlebnispark Tripsdrill, Family amusement park in Cleebronn, Germany
Erlebnispark Tripsdrill is an amusement park in Cleebronn, Germany, spreading across a wide site with over a hundred rides, roller coasters, water attractions and play areas. Alongside the rides, there is an attached wildlife park with local animals and several dining options.
The park opened in 1929 and began with a simple wooden slide as its first attraction. Over the decades the site grew steadily and now holds the title of Germany's oldest amusement park.
The park draws on life in Swabia over a hundred years ago, showing old trades, wine cultivation and farm traditions across several themed zones. Visitors walk through scenes from everyday life that blend with the rides into a journey back in time.
The park opens daily from April through November and on weekends in March, with tree houses and shepherd wagons available on site for overnight stays. Most paths are paved, though some areas involve gentle slopes.
The Karacho roller coaster accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in 1.6 seconds using a 2000-horsepower linear induction motor. Riders experience one of the fastest accelerations in any German amusement park.
