Wilhelm von Humboldt inherited the estate in 1797 and transformed the former Renaissance mansion into its current form between 1820 and 1824.
The private museum within Schloss Tegel presents the accomplishments of Wilhelm and Alexander von Humboldt through exhibits and original documents.
