Golden Cone of Ezelsdorf-Buch, Bronze Age ceremonial headpiece at Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Germany.

The Golden Cone of Ezelsdorf-Buch stands 88 centimeters tall and features 154 bands of decorative patterns made from thin gold sheets.

Discovered in 1953 between Ezelsdorf and Buch in Bavaria, this Late Bronze Age artifact dates back to approximately 1000-900 BCE.

The cone represents one of four known golden hats from ancient Europe, indicating advanced metalworking skills and religious practices of Bronze Age societies.

The Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg displays this reconstructed ceremonial object, which was originally created from 330 grams of gold.

The surface decorations include small horizontal ovals resembling eyes and miniature cones, patterns found exclusively on this particular golden hat.
