Schloss Waldeck

Schloss Waldeck is a castle and museum perched on a hilltop above the Edersee reservoir in Waldeck. The complex features several towers, courtyards, and thick stone walls that reflect different building periods and expansions.

The Waldeck noble family forged connections with European royal houses over the centuries, including a link to the Dutch royal family. One member of this family line is an ancestor of the current Dutch monarch.
