St. Lucius, Romanesque church in Werden, Germany.

The church features a western tower with an organ loft, two small towers near the choir arch, and a three-tiered northern choir wall structure.

Construction started in 995 under Abbot Werinbert, and Archbishop Anno II of Cologne consecrated the building in 1063 as a branch church.

The north wall contains original Romanesque paintings between arcades and clerestory, along with historical figures in the choir side wall niches.

The church at Luziusstraße 6 in Essen holds regular children and school services, maintaining its function as a religious gathering space.

Following secularization in 1803, the structure served as a grain storage facility and residential building before returning to religious use in 1965.
