Founded in 1807 as Schreibersche Brown Beer Brewery, Carl-Friedrich Lüdde acquired the establishment in 1876 and constructed the current buildings on site.
The brewery produces various beer styles including Pubarschknall brown beer, Pilsner, dark beer, bock beer, and wheat beer in traditional German brewing methods.
The facility includes a hotel, beer garden, and brewing operations, with the main entrance located at Blasiistraße 14, southwest of Quedlinburg's market square.
During earlier periods, customers received unripe beer by horse cart and had to mix it with water, letting it mature for days.
