Burg Wegberg is a two-story brick manor house featuring neo-Gothic architectural elements, encircled by a water-filled moat in a semicircular shape. The estate blends medieval building traditions with design touches from later periods.

This castle traces its origins to the 14th century, when it was known as Haus Potz and owned by the von Berck family. The family's tenure ended in 1343 with Johann von Berck, marking a transition in the property's history.

The name recalls the medieval castle of Berck at the confluence of the Fußbach and Beecker Bach, and the site was also called Haus Potz. Since 1961 the complex has served gastronomic purposes; after a 1972 fire the manor was rebuilt and extended, and since 1995 it has housed a hotel-restaurant.

The property operates as a hotel and restaurant complex where visitors can stay or dine in the historic setting. The moat-surrounded location offers a peaceful environment that is easily accessible from the town center.

The square brick tower southwest of the manor dates from the 16th or 17th century and has a pyramidal roof. It guards a basket-arched gateway, not a pointed one, and is the oldest surviving structure on the site.
