Gilmer Schloss

Gilmer Schloss is a neo-Gothic château in Allach, Munich, featuring a three-story main building with a gate house and chapel adorned with coats of arms and heraldic figures. The property combines residential and sacred spaces within a unified architectural design.

The château was built between 1899 and 1900 by the Rank brothers for industrialist Lorenz Hauser, reflecting the construction ambitions of wealthy entrepreneurs of that era. It changed hands multiple times before eventually becoming part of the MAN manufacturing company.

The chapel within the castle displays neo-Romanesque features with its octagonal bell tower and honors Saint Lawrence, reflecting the religious practices of early 1900s Bavaria. Visitors encounter an intimate space that reveals the personal faith and values of the original owners.
