Weizenglasmuseum Nürnberg, Beer glass museum in Laufamholz, Nuremberg, Germany.
The Weizenglasmuseum holds more than 4,500 wheat beer glasses from roughly 1,300 breweries around the world, focusing mainly on Southern German production. The museum also displays original brewing equipment, barrels, and furnishings from the beer industry.
The museum was founded in the 1980s and received a Guinness World Record entry in 1986 for its extensive collection. This recognition became one of the milestones that put the small museum on the map.
The collection displays beer coasters, labels, and signs that show how wheat beer has been made and enjoyed in Germany over time. Visitors can understand through these objects what role this drink plays in local tradition.
The museum is located at Schupferstraße 39 and can only be visited by prior arrangement. Visitors should contact ahead by phone to arrange a suitable time to visit.
The museum operates a small 50-liter brewing setup where its own wheat beer varieties are produced. This brewery still works today and allows visitors to taste freshly brewed beer.
