Main Viaduct, Nantenbach

The Main Viaduct is a steel railway bridge that spans across the river valley with a modern engineering structure. The bridge connects both banks using a continuous truss design that carries trains across the Main.

Construction of this railway bridge took place in the early 1990s and introduced modern methods in steel bridge engineering. It became an important link for regional rail transport across the Main valley.

The bridge represents German engineering excellence through its technical specifications, including a 12.5 percent slope and a radius of 2650 meters for optimal train passage.

The bridge can be viewed from nearby paths and elevated points in the valley below. Best observation spots are from ground level where you can see the full span and height of the structure.
