Markuskirche, Protestant church in Haselbrunn district, Plauen, Germany

The Markuskirche stands prominently in northwest Plauen with a 62-meter-high main tower and features three levels of architectural detail.

Construction of the church began in June 1910 after a competition involving 78 design submissions, with architect Heinrich Adam from Berlin selected for the project.

The church maintains Protestant-Lutheran services and houses the second-largest organ in Vogtland region, built by Eule company with 54 registers across three manuals.

The church provides accessible entry through a 96-centimeter-wide door, equipped with a ramp at 10 percent slope for visitor convenience.

The original bronze bells, installed in 1912, were removed during World War I and replaced with cast steel bells under imperial order.
