Schindlerhof Klaus Kobjoll, Conference hotel in Boxdorf, Nuremberg, Germany
Schindlerhof Klaus Kobjoll is a conference hotel in Boxdorf, a district of Nuremberg, built around a former farmhouse with several additional buildings added over time. It has around 90 rooms, each with a different interior design, and ten meeting rooms in the DenkArt building.
Renate and Klaus Kobjoll opened the hotel in 1984 on a former farm and expanded it over several building phases into a conference destination. Over the following decades, it grew into a recognized meeting place in the Nuremberg region.
The hotel is known for an unusual staff model where employees set their own performance criteria and evaluate themselves each month. This approach shapes how the team interacts with guests, and the effect is noticeable in day-to-day contact.
The meeting rooms in the DenkArt building have floor-to-ceiling windows and direct access to the garden, which makes breaks more comfortable and brings in plenty of natural light. The grounds are easy to walk around, as the buildings are close together.
Next to the restaurant unvergESSlich, there is a Japanese garden that most conference guests walk past without stopping. It was designed as a place of pause and offers a quiet contrast to the rest of the property.
