Alma Hoppe, Kabarett-Duo in Hamburg und Spielstätte
Alma Hoppe is a theater space in a former community center building at Ludolfstrasse 53 in Hamburg-Eppendorf. The main floor seating area features bistro tables, while the balcony is furnished with original antique chairs sourced from Zurich Opera.
Founded in 1984 by its creators, the venue began with performances in another location before moving to this former community center in 1994. This shift allowed for a dedicated space tailored to the artistic vision.
The stage presents performances where audiences sit at small tables, creating an immediate connection between performers and spectators. This intimate setting shapes how the shows unfold throughout the year.
The space holds roughly 350 people, distributed between the main floor seating and the balcony. Arriving early allows you to choose your preferred seating and settle in before the performance begins.
The name comes from a former juice factory that was once northern Germany's largest cider producer. This connection to regional industrial history is preserved in the name of the cultural space today.
