Hexenturm

Hexenturm is a medieval defensive tower in Idstein featuring a circular design with thick walls made of slate and quartzite. The interior spans multiple levels, and visitors can explore different sections including the entrance area and an upper walkway.

This structure was built around 1170 as part of Idstein Castle's defenses and served to monitor the surrounding area. Over centuries, its role changed as the region developed and military needs shifted.
