Skulpturen-Rundgang Schorndorf, Sculpture trail in Schorndorf, Germany.
The Skulpturen-Rundgang Schorndorf is an art route with around 43 works in various materials such as metal, stone, and water spread throughout the city. The pieces stand in the city center, parks, and public squares.
The route began in 1987 when the Kulturforum Schorndorf organized the first art symposium. Since then, new works have been continuously added and the collection has grown.
The artworks come from different artists and showcase various styles of contemporary sculpture. Visitors can discover how artistic approaches and materials vary from one piece to the next as they walk through the route.
The route can be explored independently on marked paths, and a map showing all locations is helpful for finding your way. Comfortable shoes are recommended since you will be walking outdoors between the various artworks.
In 2017 the route was expanded to include the landscape along the Rems river, placing artworks in natural surroundings. This blend of nature and contemporary art creates a special experience while walking.
