Schloss, Medieval château in Neuses am Sand, Germany
The two-story stone château features two round corner towers, a polygonal stair tower with a spiral staircase, and distinct volute gables.
The construction initiated in 1498 as a fief for Hans Fuchs von Bimbach before passing to Hans Wolf von Wolfsthal in 1643.
The entrance portal displays the restored coat of arms of the Fuchs family, while the weathervane from 1682 bears the signature of Philipp von Wolfsthal.
The château houses a wine estate, a restaurant serving regional Franconian cuisine, and hotel accommodations with modern amenities.
The interior courtyard preserves one of the original four defensive towers, featuring a weathervane dated 1682 atop its pointed roof.
