The Mariä Verkündigung church features Baroque architecture with a grand altar spanning the entire eastern wall of the choir room.
Originally established as a Wilhelmite monastery in 1250, the church transformed into an Augustinian institution in 1260 and later became a Jesuit church.
The Christmas nativity scene, introduced in 1618, includes 80 life-size figures displayed annually in the choir section during winter celebrations.
Located at the western end of the old town near the Lower Gate on Maximilianstrasse, the church maintains regular visiting hours for religious services.
The Mindel River flows directly beneath the sacristy and choir room, integrating natural elements into the church's structural foundation.
