Olympiastützpunkt Brandenburg

The Olympiastützpunkt Brandenburg is a training center with locations in Cottbus, Frankfurt an der Oder, and Potsdam. Each site has specialized halls, modern equipment, and professional coaches for different sports.

The center emerged in 1990 from former East German sports facilities and became an important training hub for Olympic athletes. Frankfurt an der Oder was established as one of six such centers in Brandenburg.

The training sites work closely with regional schools and sports associations to develop young talent in the area. Visitors often see young athletes training daily in the modern sports halls.

The main facility in Frankfurt an der Oder is located at Stendaler Straße 26 with access to training halls and equipment. Additional sites in Cottbus and Potsdam allow training in different sports depending on specialization.

The Brandenburg Hall opened in 1997 and provides specialized training spaces for boxing, judo, and weightlifting. This hall quickly became key to developing top athletes in these disciplines.
