Schloss Trockau, Medieval castle in Pegnitz, Germany
The three-story stone castle features an irregular quadrilateral layout with surrounding gardens and multiple entrance gates including the Burgtor and Schlosstor.
The castle originated in the 13th century, belonging to the Lords of Trockau, and underwent reconstructions between 1769 and 1779 after damages from various wars.
The castle includes a dedicated chapel called Hofkapelle and maintains a private family cemetery established in 2007 within the castle grounds.

The original medieval fortress transformed into its current form when Karl Ludwig Kasimir Wilhelm Groß von und zu Trockau ordered its reconstruction.
