Stadtkirche Durlach, Protestant church in Durlach, Germany.
Stadtkirche Durlach is a Protestant church in the Durlach district of Karlsruhe featuring three naves and baroque architectural style. The exterior walls retain partial Gothic elements from earlier phases of construction.
The church originated in the 13th century but was destroyed by French troops in 1689. Reconstruction took place between 1698 and 1700, establishing much of its current character.
The name reflects its central position in Durlach, where it has welcomed visitors and worshippers for centuries. Its architecture displays layers of different building periods, creating a blend of older forms and later adaptations.
Access is available since the building sits in the public space of the town center. An attached community house on site offers additional information and hosts various events.
The organ was built in 1999 by Goll and incorporates five preserved registers from earlier times. With roughly 2660 pipes, it ranks among the notable instruments in the region.
