Wröhmännerpark, Public park in Spandauer Neustadt, Berlin, Germany
Wröhmännerpark is a public green space along the Havel River banks in Berlin's Spandauer Neustadt neighborhood. It features white loungers, seating areas, a water basin with water lilies, and a renovated playground equipped with slides, sand areas, playhouses, seesaws, spring riders, trampolines, wobble bridges, football goals, and table tennis tables.
The site functioned as a municipal harbor until 1875, when the area was filled with sand. The recreational space we see today was created between 1913 and 1914.
A bronze statue of Diana, the Roman goddess of hunting, has stood in this space since 1963 as a replica of sculptor Reinhard Felderhoff's original work. The sculpture has become a recognizable landmark that visitors encounter while strolling through the grounds.
The park is easily accessible from the river and has multiple pathways for exploring. Visitors should wear comfortable footwear depending on the season, as the grounds feature different terrains.
The name comes from medieval Wröhmänner, farming citizens who formed their own judicial system to settle agricultural disputes. This historical tradition lives on in the park's name today.
