Schondorf station, Railway station in Schondorf am Ammersee, Germany.

Schondorf station is an intermediate stop on the Mering-Weilheim railway line with three platform tracks and a station building. The facility sits at an elevation of 557 meters and provides access to the region through a platform area with a semi-open waiting hall.

The station opened on June 30, 1898, initially serving as the southern end of the Mering line. The line was extended to Weilheim in December of that year, turning the station into an intermediate point.

The station building displays Heimatstil architecture with local design features characteristic of traditional construction in the region. Visitors can observe the crafted details that distinguish the structure from later railway stations.

The station is located at Bahnhofstrasse 45 and connects to State Roads 2055 and 2346 through a level crossing. Visitors will find the facility easily accessible and well linked to the local road network.

The station sits roughly 800 meters from the shore of Ammersee lake and historically stood between two separate villages. The two communities of Oberschondorf and Unterschondorf only merged in 1970, though the station had long served as a connecting point between them.
