Romanisches Haus, Medieval stone residence in Seligenstadt, Germany.
The Romanesque House features two floors with a saddle roof, large rounded arches on the south side, and original undivided interior spaces.
Built between 1186 and 1187, the structure served as an administrative office for Emperor Frederick Barbarossa's representative during the medieval period.
The building demonstrates the influence of Lombard construction techniques, including characteristic stone placement patterns with two horizontal bricks and a pointed stone.
The restored monument now functions as a venue for civil marriage ceremonies and cultural events in the historic center of Seligenstadt.
The building represents the oldest secular structure in Seligenstadt and received the Hesse State Monument Protection Award in 1986 following restoration.
