Schloss Weikertsham

Schloss Weikertsham is a castle with a distinctive three-story tower and steep roof positioned on a hill above the northern bank of the Inn River. The building now operates as accommodation with an attached antique shop while retaining its original architecture.

The castle was built around 1600 and later served agricultural purposes before falling into disrepair. A major restoration in the 1990s saved the structure and enabled its modern use.

The painted decorations on the walls date from the 19th and 20th centuries and show how noble families of that era chose to beautify their homes. These details remain visible today and reflect the artistic tastes of their time.

Guests can stay overnight in a historical building and browse the attached antique shop at the same time. The castle sits on a hilltop with views, which means there is a climb to reach it on foot.

The castle was used as an agricultural outbuilding for many decades for practical reasons, a common fate for many noble properties that lost their original function over time. This dual history as both residence and farmstead remains visible in how the space is organized.
