Pellerschloss, Water castle in Fischbach, Germany

Pellerschloss is a water castle featuring a sandstone base with two overhanging half-timbered stories set in southern Nuremberg. The building contains a wooden choir structure and functions today as a venue with a kitchen and event hall.

The castle was built in the 14th century as a defensive structure and suffered destruction in 1552. Its rebuilding after 1557 introduced architectural changes that shape the building today.

The castle serves as a venue for music and literary events where visitors gather for concerts and readings. Its active use by the community shows how this place remains woven into the city's cultural life.

The venue has a hall on the ground floor and a well-equipped kitchen on the first level that can accommodate about 50 people. These spaces work well for gatherings and different types of events.

The castle houses the only wooden choir structure made entirely of half-timbering in the Nuremberg region. This craftsmanship detail sets it apart from other local castles and fortifications.
