Alexanderpalais, Destroyed palace at Luisenplatz, Darmstadt, Germany
The three-story palace featured red Odenwald sandstone construction with prominent corner windows and twin-columned balconies on multiple levels.
Built in 1804 for Royal Prussian War Counselor Moldenhauer, the palace later became residence for Prince Alexander of Hesse's children from 1862.
The palace architecture combined Baroque and Classical elements, displaying similarities to the Prince Karl Palace in Karlsruhe.
The building was completely destroyed during the 1944 air raid on Darmstadt and was never reconstructed.
The western section contained an eight-axis wing while the northern part included high windows with sandstone friezes indicating a grand hall.
