Klosterruine Heiligenberg

Klosterruine Heiligenberg sits on a hillside near Schloss Heiligenberg and shows the remains of a medieval monastery with preserved wall sections and foundations. From this vantage point you can see across the rolling landscape and understand the layout of the former buildings.

The monastery was founded in 1263 by Konrad II von Bickenbach and his wife Ruda von Falkenstein and served as an important religious center for centuries. It was dissolved in 1413, a time when many other monasteries also ceased their operations.
