St. Paulus, Catholic church in Timmendorfer Strand, Germany
St. Paulus is a Catholic church in the coastal town of Timmendorfer Strand. The building features an organ loft, four bells from its original installation, and a 13-register Kemper organ that was added in 1976.
The church was founded in 1930 when a Catholic organization from Düsseldorf purchased the land. The first mass took place in August of that year in the chapel.
The church building combines modern interior design elements with traditional exterior architecture, reflecting both contemporary and historical religious expression.
The building underwent renovation in 1993 and now seats approximately 270 people. You can find it in a residential area of town with easy walking access from the central parts.
During peak tourist seasons in the 1970s and 1980s, the church held up to eleven Sunday masses with assistance from visiting priests.
