Pikkerbakken, Hilltop observation point in Bangsbo, Frederikshavn, Denmark

During World War II, German forces built a large military complex here with around 70 concrete bunkers and anti-aircraft positions. These structures were constructed to monitor ships and the coastline.
A memorial stone here displays signatures from three Danish kings: Frederik VIII, Frederik IX, and Crown Prince Frederik. These inscriptions connect the location to moments of royal recognition and national significance.
You can reach this place by car via Understedvej or take a longer hike from Restaurant Møllehuset through the natural area. For hiking, bring good walking shoes and dress appropriately for the season.
The platform here has a special shape designed to represent Denmark's northernmost point. On very clear days, you can even spot the distant island of Læsø on the horizon.
