Tingbjerg Idrætspark

Tingbjerg Idrætspark is a sports complex in northern Copenhagen with multiple playing surfaces for different activities. The facility features a main grass pitch, several training fields, and a modern artificial surface for regular matches and training sessions.

The land was acquired by Copenhagen Municipality in 1900 and initially served as allotment gardens. It was transformed into a sports ground in the 1940s, becoming a growing hub for regional football activity.

This sports ground has been central to the neighbourhood football community for generations, serving as a gathering place for players and supporters from the local area. The facility shapes the sporting life and weekly rhythms of people living in the surrounding residential districts.

The artificial pitch was installed in 2018 and uses cork as its infill material, making it more durable and environmentally friendly. This material choice is uncommon for sports surfaces and offers a greener approach compared to standard alternatives.
