Viking Museum Ladby

The museum features Denmark's only Viking ship grave, preserved in its original location beneath a rebuilt burial mound from the Viking Age period.

Discovered in 1935, the 21-meter-long dragon ship contained the remains of a leader from 925 AD, accompanied by eleven horses and several dogs.

The exhibition Ladbykongens Verden presents artifacts, films, and metal detector findings that illustrate daily life in East Funen during the Viking period.

Located two hours from Copenhagen via E20, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00 with wheelchair accessible facilities.

The seven-meter Ladby Tapestry, inspired by the Bayeux style, depicts the events surrounding the king's death and the discovery of his grave.
