Gunderslevholm

Gunderslevholm is a manor house with extensive land holdings near Næstved in southeastern Denmark. The estate includes forests and lakes along the Susaa river and operates today as a modern agricultural and forestry property.

An original fortress from 1335 was demolished during King Valdemar Atterdag's reign. The current building was constructed in 1729 and underwent later renovations.

The manor house blends Baroque and Neoclassical architectural styles following its 1787 redesign by Carl Adolph von Plessen. The building reflects how wealthy families shaped their estates during the 18th century.

The property is actively managed and privately owned, so visits are limited. It is best to check ahead and ask whether visits are possible.

The de Neergaard family has owned the estate continuously since 1803, maintaining stewardship across seven generations. This long continuity reveals how a single family shaped the history and development of this place over two centuries.
