Panzermuseum East, Military vehicle museum in Slagelse, Denmark.
Panzermuseum East is a military vehicle museum in Slagelse that displays more than 60 restored vehicles and equipment from the Warsaw Pact. The collection occupies about 3500 square meters of exhibition space and documents technology from the period 1945 to 1991.
The museum was founded in 2014 and houses Scandinavia's largest collection of Warsaw Pact vehicles. Since then it has continuously gathered over 80 vehicles that trace the military development of that era.
The museum displays equipment and vehicles used during the Cold War era in Eastern Europe and how this technology shaped daily life at the time. Visitors can see how military machines were designed then and what role they played during that period.
The museum is open from May through October and can be visited Tuesday through Sunday. There is a cafe and shop on-site, and visitors should plan to spend a few hours exploring.
The museum has an action park with authentic trenches where visitors can tackle obstacle courses. There is also the option to ride vintage sidecar motorcycles and experience military vehicles from that era up close.
