Fuirendal, Manor house in Næstved Municipality, Denmark
Fuirendal is a manor house in Næstved Municipality that forms part of the larger Holsteinborg Estate complex with extensive surrounding lands. The property encompasses both agricultural fields and forest areas managed as a unified estate system under private ownership.
The estate was originally called Vindingegård when first recorded in 1387 under Thidisius Skælle before changing ownership multiple times. King Christian IV held the property at one point, and in the early 1800s it served temporarily as a hospital before returning to residential use.
The manor records from 1850 document the social structure of Danish estate life through detailed listings of household staff including cooks, maids, and farmhands.
The manor is situated at Fyrendalvej 14 in Sandved and remains in private residential use. It cannot be entered but can be viewed from public paths, as it continues to function as part of the managed Holsteinborg property system.
From 1801 to 1839, the manor served as a hospital before reverting to its function as a residential estate within the Holstein family holdings.
