Nørresø, Protected lake near Brahetrolleborg, Denmark
The lake extends over several kilometers, featuring winding shores bordered by an old forest with numerous access points to the water's edge.
In 1785, the small island Lucieø within Nørresø was given to Danish poet Jens Baggesen by the count of Brahetrolleborg estate.
The area connects to Brahetrolleborg church, which displays a marble baptismal font and represents local religious heritage.
Visitors can park at the designated area on Brændegårdsvej, north of Brændegård Lake, to access the 5-kilometer hiking trail.
A colony of cormorants inhabits the lake, while sea eagles frequent the area during autumn months alongside numerous greylag geese.
