Water Art, Bronze sculpture near Rundetårn, Copenhagen, Denmark
The bronze sculpture stands 1.65 meters tall and 2.20 meters wide on a red granite plinth with water flowing across its surface.
The National Bank of Denmark commissioned this sculpture in 1967 to mark Copenhagen's 800th anniversary, with its installation completed in 1970 at Kultorvet Square.
Danish artist Anders Tinsbo created the sculpture using the lost-wax process, incorporating influences from sculptors Henry Moore, Max Bill, and Jean Arp.
The sculpture contains a hidden water pump system that decalcifies and recirculates water through the installation throughout the day.
The artist deliberately left the sculpture without a name to allow viewers to form their own interpretations of the rounded, flowing bronze forms.
