Beni Add Caves, Cave in Aïn Fezza, Algeria
The Grotte des Beni Add extends 700 meters in length and reaches a depth of 57 meters below the mountain's surface at an elevation of 75 meters.
The Amazigh tribes first discovered this cave, which later served as a shelter during the Algerian War of Independence from 1954 to 1962.
The limestone formations inside the cave include natural sculptures resembling Arabic swords, leading to the naming of the Sword Chamber within the complex.
The cave maintains a constant temperature of 13 degrees Celsius throughout the year, making it accessible for exploration during all seasons.
Local doves have established their nests within the cave's recesses, creating a natural aviary in this underground geological formation.
