Haapsalu kuursaal, Historic kursaal in Haapsalu, Estonia
The wooden structure spans across the seaside promenade with a rectangular main hall and a gallery surrounding the entire building.
The kursaal, completed in 1905, was designed by architect Rudolf Otto von Knüpffer to serve the Russian nobility visiting from Saint Petersburg.
The two-story hall maintains its position as a central venue for summer concerts, performances, and social gatherings in the Estonian coastal region.
Located at Promenaadi 1, the kursaal operates seasonally as a restaurant and event space, currently scheduled to reopen in summer 2025.
The green-painted building stands partially over the Baltic Sea, supported by foundations that extend into the water from the shore.
