Haapsalu kuursaal

Haapsalu kuursaal is a wooden building on the waterfront with a rectangular main hall and a gallery that runs around the entire structure. The two-story building is painted green and sits partially over the water on foundations that extend into the sea.

The building was completed in 1905 following a design by architect Rudolf Otto von Knüpffer and served Russian aristocrats and visitors from Saint Petersburg. It reflects the era when this Baltic coastal location was a favored destination for Russian nobility.
