St. Paul’s Church, Art Nouveau church in Kesklinn, Estonia.
St. Paul's Church is a brick building in National Romantic style, distinguished by a tall bell tower, geometric patterns, and stained glass windows. These architectural features appear both on the exterior and throughout the interior spaces, creating a unified design.
Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen designed the plans in 1913, with construction taking place between 1915 and 1917. Interior finishing work was completed in 1919.
The church houses religious services, contains a marble altar sculpture by Amandus Adamson depicting Jesus with Mary Magdalene and Jericho.
The church is accessible during daytime hours on weekdays, with shorter hours on weekends. The bell tower offers visitors the chance to climb up and view the surroundings from above.
The building houses several functional spaces including a columbarium and crypt alongside the main prayer hall. These secondary areas show how the structure serves purposes beyond regular worship.
