The monument, initiated by Hans Sissas and inaugurated on June 26, 2010, represents Estonian mothers who maintained family traditions through generations.

The stone sculpture, designed by artists Ilme and Riho Kuld, symbolizes the central role of mothers in preserving Estonian society and values.
