Precinct of Amun-Re, Ancient temple in Egypt
The Precinct of Amun-Re is one of the four main temple enclosures that make up the immense Karnak Temple Complex.
It was constructed during the New Kingdom period between 1570-1069 BC.
The temple was dedicated to the god Amun, who was revered as king of the gods and became a national deity.
Today, it's a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world.
It is the largest religious building ever constructed.
