The Helwan Wax Museum exhibits 116 statues and 26 panoramic scenes depicting Egyptian historical figures and cultural representations in detailed wax sculptures.
Founded by Fouad Abdel Malek in 1934, the museum relocated twice before settling in Helwan district, receiving official recognition from the Ministry of Culture in 1997.
The collection includes wax sculptures of notable figures such as Saladin, King Richard I, Cleopatra, and President Gamal Abdel Nasser, representing different periods of Egyptian history.
The museum stands near Ain Helwan Metro station, making it accessible for visitors exploring the southern district of Cairo.
The exhibition features intricate scenes of Queen Cleopatra's final moments and Mohammed Ali Pasha inspecting ships at the Suez Canal opening.
