Tomb of Panehsy

The tomb features detailed wall decorations showing Panehsy receiving gold rewards from the king and performing religious ceremonies with the royal family.

During the Amarna Period, Panehsy served as Chief Servitor of the Aten and Overseer of the Cattle, managing religious and administrative responsibilities.

The walls display numerous scenes of Akhenaten and Nefertiti making offerings to Aten, reflecting the religious practices of the period.

Located in the North Tombs area, the structure stands at the base of an 85-meter cliff, accessible through modern steps and designated pathways.

The tomb transformed into a Coptic church during the Late Roman Period, incorporating new features such as a deep baptismal font and an apse.
