The Institut Valencià d'Art Modern spans 18,200 square meters with eight galleries displaying permanent collections and temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.
Founded in 1986 and opened in 1989, the IVAM became Spain's first museum dedicated to modern art, marking a turning point for cultural institutions in the country.
