School of Engineering of Terrassa

The School of Engineering of Terrassa spans multiple buildings with modern classrooms, laboratories, and research facilities within the Polytechnic University of Catalonia campus.

Established in 1901 as the Superior School of Industries of Terrassa, the institution initially focused on supporting the local textile industry education needs.

The main building, designed by architect Lluís Muncunill i Parellada in Art Nouveau style, represents an example of early 20th-century educational architecture.

Students access 27 teaching classrooms, 9 computer rooms, and specialized engineering laboratories for industrial and aerospace studies throughout the academic year.

The central hall features steel columns and contains a commemorative bust of Alfonso Salonsa, who founded the educational institution.
